Senators Room - 2004
This room was created for my cousin during a week when they were on vacation. I wanted to create a sports-themed room that he could enjoy and grow into, while avoiding the colour blue (as his younger brother’s room was blue) and keeping with his personality and interests. He wasn’t necessarily a big Ottawa Senator’s fan, but their colour scheme – red, black, white, and gold – is used throughout the room. Instead of the room being separated by colours horizontally, they are separated vertically. This more visually striking look was inspired by the Sens jersey of the early 2000s, which was one of the first NHL jerseys to use non-horizontal lines in its coloration.
