This painting shows how bacteria can affect people. It shows an old lady drinking water from her tap. As she is doing this, bacteria are creeping up into her. Through the window there’s one lone structure visible: a water tower with the word “Walkerton” on the side, a call back to the 2000 Walkerton tragedy when seven people died and over 2000 became ill from contaminated water.
