Siberia 1908 - Acrylic paint, masonite, 2002Small thing: big difference is the general theme to this artwork. Meteors are normally very small, when compared to the vast sizes and distances of space. Whenever they hurdle towards the Earth, they burn up in our atmosphere... most of the time. In 1908, a meteor less than a kilometre in diameter, almost hit the planet. The friction between it and the atmosphere caused it to explode just in time. Had it impacted the planet, which is almost did, life would have been greatly affected. The line between beauty and destruction is very a fine one.
